Published May 21st, 2007
Florida pitcher Stacey Nelson continued her domination of opposing batters, throwing nine shutout innings to secure a win for the Gators. Meanwhile, Melissa Zick gave the Gators all the run support they needed with a triple in the top of the ninth inning. The hit scored Lauren Roussell to put the Gators up 1-0.
The Gators now face fourth-seeded Texas A&M in College Station in the super regional round. It is the first time the Gators have advanced past the regional round.
