There were signs that avery atkins was in trouble even before he left florida last year. A once-budding star on the gator football team. Atkins had been fighting problems all along. Now those problems have added up to what police call a suspicious death. Atkins was found unconcious in his car early this morning in port orange florida and was pronounced dead an hour later.

Atkins was just 20 years old.

The daytona beach native had been arrested three times in the past three months. The most recent one coming on monday as he was charged with possession of crack cocaine. With such an outstanding criminal record, police have not ruled out any possibilities regarding his death.
