OL' BALL COACH KICKS OFF MEDIA DAYS

OL' BALL COACH KICKS OFF MEDIA DAYS

Published July 25th, 2007

For two seasons, Spurrier hasn't dared to utter a sentence about an SEC championship. Now, he's let the cat out of the bag. Citing a new abundance of talent from his incoming freshman class, Spurrier said the South Carolina Gamecocks have their sights set on an SEC championship at SEC Media Days in Birmingham, Alabama. "If we get a few balls to bounce our way, we can play with anyone," Spurrier said.

Florida certainly knows this. The Gators are 1-1 over the past two seasons against the Gamecocks, losing in 2005 and winning by one point in 2006.
