POWELL LEAVES FLORIDA BASKETBALL
Published July 3rd, 2007
The Florida Gator basketball team lost six players after last season: two to graduation and four more who declared early eligibility for the NBA draft. Now Florida will be without one more player from last year's team, as Brandon Powell has decided to transfer to a new school.
As a freshman last season, Powell saw playing time in 23 games, averaging one-point-six points per game. He was likely going to find it difficult to break into the starting lineup with star recruits Jai Lucas and Nick Calathes playing the guard position as well.
