Hampton Puts Down 17

Former TV-20 Scholar Athlete of the Year Marcie Hampton led the Gators with 17 kills to a 30-18, 30-9 and 30-20 victory over South Carolina in Columbia to help Flordia earn its 21st victory in 22 outings overall and 14th win and 15 SEC outings. Hampton closed out her amazing month of October hitting 483.
Meanwhile, Kelsey Bowers (Gainesville) chipped in with 10 kills hitting .516 and Kisya Killingsworth terminated 11 on 12 swings to finish with a .917 percentage.
Fellow senior Amber McCray added 9 kills hitting .368.Â
Mary Wise's Gators return to the O'Connell Center Sunday afternoon at 1pm when UF hosts Arkansas. The Razorbacks handed Florida its lone loss of the season earlier this year.Â
