5 For Tebow in 45-12 Win
Florida Head Coach Urban Meyer became the first Gator Football Coach to start his career 3-0 against Florida State following his teams 45-12 victory in the regular season finale at the Swamp.
Super Sophomore Quarterback Tim Tebow continued his outstanding season having a hand in 5 touchdowns.
Tebow ran for 2 scores (now 22 total on the season) and passed for 3 scores (now 29Â on the season) to help lead the Gators to the impressive victory.Â
Tebow spun away from FSU defenders and ran for 23 yards to give Florida its first touchdown before finding Louis Murphy on 2 straight touchdown passes (32 and 14 yards) in the first half.
The Gator Offense scored touchdowns 4 of the first 5 times it had the football. Tebow also ran for a 5-yard touchdown in the 2nd half and found Bubba Caldwell for a 32-yard TD connection.
The Gator Offense put up more than 500 yards. Tebow passed for 262 yards and ran for close to 100 more.
Percy Harvin also enjoyed a another strong outing in his first came back totaling 157 yards receiving to go with a his rushing touchdown.  Â
The 9-3 Gators, 6-3 in the SEC now wait to find out about their postseason destination. Â
