Rutledge Off Gator Football Team
Published December 13th, 2007
Former P.K. Yonge star & Gator football team starting fullback Eric Rutledge will not be playing in the New Year's day Capital One Bowl against Michigan.
Although UF coach Urban Meyer was out of town recruiting Thursday and could not be reached for comment, Rutledge did not meet a "set of expectations and standards" as a member of the team according to a team spokesman.
Rutledge, a former P.K. Yonge standout, did not have a single touch this season, but played a key role in UF's running game as the lead blocker.
