Gator Baseball Loses McArthur to Injury
Published April 7th, 2008
Gator senior infielder Brandon McArthur will be out indefinitely and perhaps to rest of this season after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee. The Gators starting first baseman was injured on April 2 against North Florida and ranks fourth on the team in batting average (.314), RBI (24) and doubles(six). McArthur was on a nine-game hitting streak and had a .361 SEC clip when he was hurt in the bottom of the fifth inning against the Ospreys.
