Softball Records Another Sweep
The #3-Ranked Gator Softball Team topped #17 Georgia 5-2 to sweep the 3-game series in Athens, Georgia and improve to 46-2 overall, 18-1 in the SEC.
All-American Stacey Nelson improved to 30-2 with the win, while junior Ali Gardiner drove in 4 of Florida's 5 runs. Gardiner belted her 6th homerun of the season (2-run homer) to give the Orange and Blue a 4-0 lead at the time after she put the Gators on the board with 2-run double (put Florida ahead 2-0 earlier in the game).
Florida travels to Florida State for a double-header against FSU on Wednesday beginning at 4pm. Both games are scheduled to be televised live on Sun Sports.
UF then returns home for a 3-game series against Kentucky. Florida hosts the Wildcats in a doubleheader Saturday at 1pm (2nd game scheduled for 3:30pm) before hosting the Wildcats for Game 3 on Sunday at 1pm.
