GATOR BASEBALL SWEEPS VANDY
Published May 17th, 2008
John Townsend gave himself and the other members of the 2008 senior class a sendoff to remember, as Townsend hit a walk-off single in the 11th inning to complete a sweep of Vanderbilt Commodores with a 31-12 win.
The win vaulted Florida to the number three seed in the SEC Tournament, which begins Wednesday in Hoover, AL.
The Gators got help from four home runs (DenDekker, Barber, Adams, Tignor), the most in one game all season.
Florida will face Vanderbilt in the first round of the SEC Tournament at 1:00 p.m.
