GATOR SOFTBALL REGIONAL CHAMPS
Published May 19th, 2008
On an afternoon where Florida saw its 37-game winning streak tossed by the wayside, the Gators still got the prize they coveted.
After dropping the first game of the regional final 1-0 in extra innings, Florida bounced back to win its second straight regional title with a 10-0 win over Central Florida. Led by Kim Waleszonia's two home runs, Florida needed only five innnings in the second game.
Florida now advances to the super-regional round, where the Gators will host the University of California.
