GATOR SOFTBALL WINS SEC TITLE
Published May 4th, 2008
Shattering record after record this season, the Florida Gator softball team finally put the one they really wanted in the record books: an SEC regular season championship.
The Gators finished the regular season in style, sweeping three games in a row at Tennessee, the 2007 SEC champion. Stacey Nelson won her 38th game of the season, and the Gators finish the regular season 59-2, and 27-1 in conference, both university bests.
The Gators now travel to Baton Rouge, La. for the SEC softball tournament. Florida begins with Ole Miss on Thursday.
