Published June 2nd, 2008
After the Gator bats kept Florida alive in a 6-1 afternoon win over Texas A&M, they couldn't muster a run in the evening loss.
Stacey Nelson pitched eight scoreless innings before giving up a run-scoring triple to Kelsey Spittler in the top of the ninth.
Florida reached the final four of the college world series for the first time in program history.
The Gators finish with an NCAA record 70 wins and five losses. Earlier this season, the Gators swept the SEC regular season and tournament championships for the first time in program history.
