Gator Volleyball Tops Colorado
The #8 Gator volleyball team out-blocked Colorado 12 to 3 Thursday, led by sophomore middle blocker/right-side Lauren Bledsoe's career-high seven blocks and three Gators recorded double-figure kills for the second consecutive match in a 3-1 (25-22, 25-20, 22-25, 25-18) win against Colorado in Boulder, CO. Bledsoe recorded eight kills on nine swings for a career-best .889 hitting efficiency with a personal-best seven blocks. Bledsoe also charted a season-best 11.5 points in leading the Gators (6-0) to a 3-0 lead in the all-time series vs. the Buffaloes. Kristy Jaeckel, the two-time reigning Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, led the Gators in kills for the fifth time this season with a match-high 15 while freshman outside hitter Colleen Ward had her best match in a Gator uniform, charting a personal-best 14 kills.Â
 Florida returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Fort Collins, CO, to face #21 Colorado State. Opening serve between the Gators and Rams is set for 9 p.m.
