James Earns Conference Honor...Again!
Gator junior running back Brandon James won his second Southeastern Conference Special Teams Player of the Week honor of the season on Monday. James tallied 144 return yards in Florida's 30-6 road victory over Tennessee, including 130 in the first quarter. James ignited the Florida offense after a 52-yard kickoff return to put the Gators in scoring position on their first possession. James' punt return of 78 yards for a touchdown was his fourth punt return TD of his career, tying an all-time Florida career record for punt returns for a touchdown set by Jacquez Green (1995-97). James had 92 total punt return yards on the afternoon. He currently ranks third in the SEC in all purpose yards, averaging 142.0 yards per game.
#4 Florida (3-0. 1-0) continues SEC play when Ole Miss (2-2, 0-1) travels to The Swamp on Saturday, September 27th. The game, set to kick off at 12:30 p.m., will be broadcast live by Raycom Sports.
