Except for the Steelers, I CANNOT figure the NFL playoffs... home field is supposed to be "a huge advantage"... having "a first-round bye" is usually precious... NOT this time.... in eight playoff games, "visiting teams" have won FIVE... the Panthers, Titans, Steelers and Super Bowl champion Giants all had first-round BYES--- but it tended to mean "BYE-BYE"... only Pittsburgh is still afloat... Carolina quarterback Jake Delhomme was "worst of all"-five interceptions and a fumble... his Panthers-GONE!... both of Archie's kids--- Peyton and Eli Manning--- GONE!... Philadelphia seemed dead six weeks ago--- quarterback Donovan McNabb having been benched--- but now all the Eagles are movin' on--- to the NFC Championship Game--- playing AT, of all places, ARIZONA... the Cardinals franchise "last won a championship" 51 years ago--- "two hometowns ago"- in 1947, the Cardinals were from Chicago-- they won the "NFL Championship" by beating- ah ha-- PHILADELPHIA.... the franchise later relocated to St. Louis... then on to Arizona.... like I said- -a tough January to figure--- hard to count on anything--- except for No. 15 of the national champion (AGAIN) Florida Gators... the biggest smiles I saw all weekend?-- Gators fans hearing Tim Tebow say, "Let's do it again-I'm coming back".... he'll be a senior next fall- Florida will be loaded again and, I believe, "preseason No. 1"... I'm Hubert Mizell, and that's what I think.
