Marrit Boonstra battled heat-related cramps in the third set of her match at the number one singles position, and then continued to battle her opponent Fani Chifchieva, the number six singles player in the nation. Boonstra ended up beating both, as she survived the heat and won the match 3-6, 6-1, 6-2.
The Gators (12-7, 6-4) have one regular season match remaining before they begin the SEC championship tournament on April 23.
