After turning in an 11 tackle, 3 sack performance against LSU on Saturday, Gator senior middle linebacker Brandon Spikes was awarded the SEC Defensive Player of the Week award.
It is the second time Spikes has earned the award in his career, along with player of the week honors following the LSU game in 2008.
