The Rock Girls "Roll" to Class A State Championship!

Center Viktorija Dimaite and forward Paulina Zaveckaite scored 15 points each as The Rock topped Hollywood Christian 51-48 Thursday to win the Class 1A girls basketball state championship. The title, won at the Lakeland Center, was the first for The Rock.
The Lions (30-2) broke a 45-all tie on a Zaveckaite layup with 1:37 left. Zaveckaite scored again and sealed the victory when Hollywood Christian (28-5) was called for traveling with 1.8 seconds left.
Zaveckaite led all players with 12 rebounds. Guard Sarah Kelton led Hollywood Christian with 15 points. The Eagles, competing in their third straight final four, were trying for their first championship win.
