Our Jeffrey Meldon scholar/athlete of the week was a four-year starter for the Santa Fe Raiders softball team - who's season came to an end on Tuesday night in the regional quarterfinals of the class 3A state playoffs - a 1-0 8-inning loss to Trinity Catholic. Nevertheless, the future certainly looks bright for Kasey Metzler who sports a 4.58 weighted grade average.
