Brewer & Noah to Host Camp in Gainesville
Gator basketball legends and pro basketball stars Joakim Noah and Corey Brewer will host their first Gainesville area camp July 26-28 at the University of Florida O’Connell Center. The Back 2 Back Youth Basketball Camp will feature Noah and Brewer teaching sport fundamentals. They will be joined by additional Florida stars from their Championship years on campus. The Joakim Noah and Corey Brewer Back 2 Back Youth Basketball Camp is for girls and boys ages 9-18. The academy will run daily from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., and it is excellent preparation for campers looking to take their game to the next level. Throughout the camp, participants will take part in lectures, basketball drill stations, player evaluations, 5 on 5 games, basketball contests and educational sessions.
Both Noah and Brewer will donate their proceeds from the camp to Shands HealthCare. Noah will support the Shands Children’s Hospital at UF. During his college days, Noah spent time getting to know children who were treated there. Brewer has created the “Corey Brewer Fight Diabetes Fund” to provide funds for diabetes patient programs and education at Shands UF. A number of Brewer’s family members have been diagnosed with this disease. Shands representatives will be providing diabetes education and on-site support at the camp.
Back 2 Back Basketball Camp is open to girls and boys ages 9-18 and will cost $299 per camper, which includes a T-shirt, photo with Brewer and Noah, awards and instruction from some of the top coaches in the region.
