In a matchup strictly for pride, the Bears and Indians pounded it with their two star running backs. The Bears senior running back Michael West set up Dixie County's first score for teammate Junior Washington on a one yard touchdown run. But Chiefland answered with a sledgehammer in their senior running back Jamantye Thompson, scoring 14 unanswered points on runs of 74 and 6 yards. But the Bears finally took over, outscoring the Indians 25-0, keeping Chiefland winless this season, and improving Dixie Countys own mark to 5-4, 3-3 in district play.
