Bradford Rallies, Nips Tigers 25-24 In The Battle For The Paddle
The Tornadoes dug themselves in a hole. The Tigers didn't do them any favors with point-after miscues. In essentially a playoff game for both teams, Bradford overcame an 11-point deficit in the final nine minutes of regulation to beat Union County 25-24. Tornadoes sophomore quarterback Austin Chipoletti rallied his troops in the fourth quarter, down 24-13. After cutting the lead to 24-19, Bradford's defense stepped up, deflecting Austin Harden's pass for Union County, and picking it off to set up for the final touchdown. Union County had chances to extend the lead, but couldn't convert on their point-after attempts. The loss cripples the Tigers chances for the postseason, while the Tornadoes are riding high and even their division record at 1-1, sitting at 3-2 on the season.
