I was CONVINCED the Gators were primed to "slug it out"

with mighty Alabama… Even when the Tide

led 3-zip, Florida “drove impressively”---stampeding to within “inches” of

taking a 7-3 lead… then the Gators “got cute”---trying the old “Tim Tebow

jump pass”… Trey Burton’s “leap of faith” was INTERCEPTED---from there on,

Florida was a mess… Another time, the Gators moved to within

six inches of the Alabama goal---DID NOT score---fumbling it away…

Five chances in THE RED ZONE---Florida got ZERO touchdowns---two

field goals…. the Gators were “embarrassingly” inadequate…

my head ACHES---Urban Meyer’s probably does too---being

“overloaded with questions”… * WILL John

Brantley EVER be “a superior college quarterback?”... * After Burton’s

six touchdowns against Kentucky, did Florida coaches get “too in love”

with the freshman’s immediate VIRTUOSO possibilities?... * Will Mike

Pouncey EVER become ADEPT at “shotgun snaps”---or is it TIME to move

“the big fella” back where he’s comfortable---to GUARD---and try

SAM ROBEY at center?... will Florida’s offensive line

EVER become “imposing?”... * What are the chances of the Gators BOUNCING

BACK STRONG---good enough to win six or seven straight games---including

LSU, Georgia, South Carolina and Florida State --- maybe

earning “another crack at Alabama” in the SEC FINALS?... with LSU five

days away---in The Swamp---so many Gator questions---in the SECRECY

of Florida's practices, “the search is on” for answers…
