CCF Retires Ricardo Ratliffe's Jersey, Wins Mens Basketball Opener
Published November 4th, 2010
Ricardo Ratliffe may be the best basketball player ever to wear a College of Central Florida Patriots jersey. So, it makes sense the Patriots retired Ratliffe's jersey in their home opener against Aiken Tech. The junior transfer made a trip back to Central Florida for the cerimony, greeted by hundreds, as he saw his former Patriot teammates win their opener 83-65. Ratliffe was one of only thirteen players to make the NJCAA All-America team twice and is considered one of the best junior college transfer in the country. He took his talents to the University of Missouri where he will play for the Tigers in the winter.
