Published November 24th, 2010
Mike Peterson is in the middle of his team's best season as a professional football player, but the Atlanta Falcons linebacker still took time this week to return to the community that raised him to spread holiday cheer. Peterson, a graduate of Santa Fe High School and former Gator, passed out more than 100 turkeys at Hitchcock's in Alachua on Tuesday. Peterson said the event is an important part of his giving back to the community.
