Locals Shine, And Locals Win In Gators Basketball Victory over FAU

The Florida Gator basketball team saw two local players come back and play well, but not well enough to take down the home team as Florida beat Florida Atlantic 79-66. Greg Gantt (Gainesville High) and Dennis Mavin (The Rock) combined for 27 points for the Owls, but the Gators were led by a combined 40 points from Kenny Boyton and Alex Tyus. The Gators (4-1) now have a break until Sunday, when they face Florida State in Tallahassee.
