Bradford Wins 1st Game of Christmas Tournament, Other Prep Scores

The Tornadoes came out storming to a 4-0 lead, en route to a 69-56 victory over Clay in the first round of the Kiwanis Christmas Tournament hosted by Bradford High. The Tornadoes were led by Ya'keem Griner with 24 points, and teammates Chris Walton and Tramaine Harris also added 10 points each, respectively.
Gainesville High's young squad bested Keystone Heights 69-45, leading scorer for the Purple Hurricanes was Tim Norman with 22 points. Indians Ryan Lattner scored 16 in the loss.
Union County Tigers were just edged by Bartram Trail 61-59. Tournament second round games begin Wednesday, and wraps up on Thursday evening.
