Gainesville High Makes Furious 2nd Half Rally, But Fall Short to Wolfson

The Purple Hurricanes trailed by 26 at half, only to nearly mount the biggest comeback in GHS history. But the Canes got no closer than down by three and lost to the Wolfpack 89-83. Gainesville High was led by sophomore Tim Norman with 26 points, alongside Isaiah Jackson and Mike McCray, who each added 17. The Wolfpack were aided with 12 3-pointers in the first half, jumping out to a 53-27 lead at the break. But the Purple Hurricanes cut into the lead, only down 76-73 with under four to play. The two teams will likely meet again in the district playoffs.
