Gators Womens Hoops Take Down #22 Razorbacks 64-53

Amanda Butler's been waiting for her team to make a statement. It finally came in the Gators SEC opener, beating up No. 22 Arkansas 64-53 in the O'Connell Center on Sunday. Deana Allen led the Gators with 12 points, but scoring was balanced throughout the entire team. Florida held a 38-22 halftime lead and didn't relinquish it in the 2nd half. Gainesville product Jaterra Bonds had nine points, led the team with eight rebounds, and added two assists. The loss was the Razorbacks first of the season.
