We’re a long way from “Judgment Day” for

“reconstructed” Gator football…

I’ve been assessing NAMES and

TRACK RECORDS… I am convinced

Will Muschamp is assembling

“a high-quality staff ”…

Four assistants---including BOTH coordinators---have NFL

experience… Pro football is NOT the same as COLLEGE---but

the “NFL Thing” SELLS among young athletes who’re

aiming to “play for major money”…

“Offensive boss” CHARLIE WEIS

comes from the Kansas City Chiefs…

“Defensive leader” DAN QUINN

from the Seattle Seahawks---BOTH franchises in

the NFL playoffs…

WEIS did NOT succeed at

Notre Dame---but “defense” was the reason…

He’ll DO no D at Florida…

If you’re a BIG—GIFTED high school

QB---RUNNER---or RECEIVER---

it can be a MAGNET to play in the

“pro-style offense” of Weis---a man with

FOUR Super Bowl rings…

It is a staff with DIVERSITY---three coaches are African-Americans…

Muschamp is a “noted pit bull” as a recruiter---so, no surprise---

his staff is STACKED with strong recruiters…

An “offensive” re-design is a must for the Gators…

In 2010, the SPREAD often went DEAD…

But, back to RECRUITING---it becomes “especially challenging”

when there is “a coaching change”…

I’m expecting no better than

“a B-minus” 2011 class…

But, AFTER this winter---WATCH OUT…

Job One for “the Muschampers” is to “minimize”

DEFECTIONS---among high schoolers who had

pledged to the Urban Meyer staff….AND,

among “fence-sitters” who remain

UN-committeed---SOME have SCRUBBED Florida

from their “shopping list”… the Gators, for the

SHORT run and THE LONG will need "a lot of

WILL POWER”…
