Rams Hold On Late, Canes Comeback Falls Short 53-49

Eastside and Gainesville resumed their crosstown rivalry in boys basketball at Santa Fe College. The Rams saw a 13 point 4th quarter lead cut to 4 with under 20 seconds to play, but the Purple Hurricanes' Isiah Jackson had his three-pointer just long, and Eastside held on for a 53-49 victory. The Rams were led by Devontae Mosley with 17 and freshmen Barry Johnson with 15. On the Hurricanes side, Jackson led with 17.
