Bobcats Exact Revenge on 'Canes, 73-62 Win Pushes Buchholz to Regional Final
Published February 16th, 2011
In a District 4-5A rematch, Buchholz was without its home floor. The Purple Palace didn't seem to bother the Bobcats too much in hindsight, rolling to a 73-62 Regional Semifinal victory. Gainesville High earned the right to host, winning the District for the first time in 24 years. However, Buchholz imposed their will early on the Purple Hurricanes, grabbing a double-digit lead in the games first five minutes, and never looked back. The Bobcats Jessica Thomas led with 18 points, with three other teammates scoring in double figures. Buchholz will now travel to Fort Walton Beach to play in the Regional Final on Saturday.
