Cartaesha Macklin did all she could do in the first half; make shots, assist teammates, rebound, and defend. Still, the outcome was in doubt till the final minutes as Lafayette hung on to beat Tallahassee Maclay for the second time this season, 72-67. Macklin had 17 points at halftime, and finished with 40, leading all scorers. Rhoda Reid chipped in with 16 points. The Hornet win means Lafayette will host the Regional Final against Graceville, with the hopes of moving onto another State Final Four appearance.
