No. 1 Florida Baseball Blanks Winthrop 10-0
Published March 24th, 2011
The top-ranked Florida Gator baseball team has seen a few sets of Eagles this season. And just like in their series versus Boston College, the Gators are coming off another sweep, as the Eagles get blanked 10-0 in Game 2 of the two-game series. Florida exploded with a seven-run sixth inning, while junior lefty Alex Panteliodis kept Winthrop at bay, pitching six strong innings, allowing three singles, and two strikeouts. Florida now prepares for another SEC series as No. 4 South Carolina comes to Gainesville this Friday.
