Florida Baseball Loses Another Mid-Week Game
Published April 6th, 2011
The Florida Gator baseball team may be at the top of the SEC standings, but the Gators won't be winning any prizes for mid-week champion. The Gators fell to 5-4 in mid-week games with a 4-3 loss to Central Florida Tuesday night. The game was knotted at two in the bottom of the eighth when Jeff Moyer hit an RBI single for the Gators to give Florida a 3-2 advantage. But the Knights responded with two runs in the top of the ninth, and the Gators could not produce a run in the final frame. The Gators (24-6, 7-2) now travel to Starkeville, MS for the first of three games on Friday night. This will be the first of eight straight road games for Florida.
