Published April 25th, 2011
The No. 17 Florida Gators Men's Tennis team capped a memorable SEC Tournament, winning four matches in four days at Linder Stadium, the last coming against No. 11 Kentucky (4-0) en route to the program's fourth SEC Tournament title. The Gators became only the second team in the tournament's 22-year history to win the title without the aid of a bye. Senior Alex Lacroix was named tournament MVP for his efforts. On the women's side, the No. 1 Florida Women's Tennis team claimed the 17th SEC Tournament title by beating second-seeded Tennessee in Knoxville (4-0). The Gator women did not drop a match point the entire tournament.
