Oak Hall Softball Takes Down Williston 7-3
Published April 14th, 2011
It was a defensive battle in the first few innings, but Oak Hall came out victorious at home against the Williston Red Devils 7-3. Eagles pitcher Haley Birkle went four strong innings, allowing three runs and struck out five in the no decision. But teammate Taylor King stole the show in the bottom of the fifth. Down 3-2, King delivered an RBI single to tie the game, and advanced all the way around home on errors to give the Eagles the lead they would not relinquish. Williston's Tori Stamper went seven innings, striking out five batters in the ballgame.
