Carlos Alvarez Elected To NCAA College Football Hall of Fame
Published May 18th, 2011
The Florida Gator football team has had great receivers over the years, but since the early 1970's, they've all been chasing one player in the record books, Carlos Alvarez. As of Tuesday, Alvarez won't be chasing the Hall of Fame anymore, as he was elected into the College Football Hall of Fame. Alvarez was an All-American in 1969, and he went on to become the Gators all-time receiving leader in several categories: his record of 2,563 career receiving yards still stands.
