Gator Baseball Routed By Wildcats 14-1
Published May 21st, 2011
The No. 4 Florida Gator baseball team had a chance to clinch the SEC regular season title on Friday night, but Alex Meyer had other ideas. The six-foot nine starting pitcher for Kentucky dominated throughout the evening, going seven strong innings, striking out nine, and limiting the Florida offense to a mere one-earned run, as the Gators fell to the Wildcats 14-1. Florida fell into another three-way tie in the SEC with the loss, as South Carolina and Vanderbilt were both victorious on Friday. The Gators have another chance to claim a share of the SEC crown with a win versus the Wildcats, Saturday at 4 p.m.
