Gator Baseball Sweeps Ole Miss, First Time Since 2002
Published May 2nd, 2011
The No. 4 Florida Gator baseball team accomplished something it hadn't done to Ole Miss in nearly a decade. But on Sunday afternoon on a hot, windy day at McKethan Stadium, the Gators swept the Rebels for the first time since 2002, with a 7-2 victory. Florida was led by catcher Mike Zunino, with a career day, going 4-for-4 at the plate, including three doubles and four RBI. Ole Miss became the fourth SEC opponent to fall victim of a sweep by the Florida Gators.
