Published May 25th, 2011
Wednesday was a proud day on the campus of Buchholz High School for two Bobcats athletes. Track and field athletes Chantia Taylor and Marquis Noble signed their letters of intent to continue their sports careers as collegiate athletes. Marquis Noble was an all-purpose back on the Bobcats football team, but has opted to pursue track at North Carolina A&T. Noble won the 2010 Class 4A long jump state championship. He is also the reigning Alachua County 100 meter champion. Taylor also signs a track scholarship, but will stay closer to home attending FAMU in the fall. Taylor is the reigning county champion in the long jump, high jump, and triple jump.
