Santa Fe Baseball Makes Like Bee Gees, Stays Alive In FCSAA Tourney
Published May 10th, 2011
A 7-2 win over Broward Junior College on Monday kept the Santa Fe Saints baseball season alive. The path for a Florida junior college baseball team to the Junior College World Series might be the toughest in the country. And yet Santa Fe College head coach Johnny Wiggs has reached the plateau once in his career. If he wants to make it a second time, the Saints will need to continue to work it's way though the consolation bracket of the FCSAA tournament. Only one team makes it to the World Series from Florida, so the Saints must win the state title in order to advance.
