Former Gator Abby Wambach continues excelling during the 2011 FIFA World Soccer Cup Wednesday afternoon. Wambach got her first goal of the championships Wednesday afternoon, however it was not enough to help the United States beat Sweden.
The American Women played hard in Wolfsburg, Germany but could not keep up with Sweden, falling to the Yellow and Blue 2 to 1. However, this loss did not bump Team USA out of the Cup and still advance to the quarterfinals Sunday and will face Brazil.
