Gator's Young Perfect, Team USA Not in U19 Hoops Loss to Croatia
Published July 6th, 2011
The USA U19 team had their first loss today after winning their past two games in the Basketball World Championship. Jeremy Lamb helped team USA, accounting for 25 points while Florida Gators sophomore Patric Young made 7-of-7 field goals, ending with 15 points. It wasn't enough to stop Croatia, who took the lead scoring five points in the last 50 seconds to take an 87-85 win over USA. Today's loss did not affect USA's number one seed for Group F. The medal round quarterfinals will be played Friday in Riga, Latvia.
