Lake City 9-U All Stars Heading to North Carolina for Southeast Regionals
For the first time in city history, the 9 and under little league squad from Lake City is advancing to the Babe Ruth Southeast Regionals in North Carolina. The Lake City All Stars advanced to the North Florida championship against Orange Park, but fell short in double elimination. The spot in the championship game still guaranteed the team from Lake City a trip to Morgantown, with the Southeast Regional tournament starting July 20th through the 24th. But the little ones need all the help they can get by raising enough money for the team to make the trek to North Carolina. Fundraising starts on Wednesday at Lake City's Texas Roadhouse between 4pm-9pm, with 10% of total food purchases going to the 9-U All Stars if patrons present a special fundraising invitation. The team will also hold car washes and other fundraisers in the coming days.
