Corey Brewer Back In Town Hosting Basketball Camp
Former Gator basketball star and Dallas Mavericks Forward Corey Brewer is back in Gainesville this week, hosting the second annual Back-2-Back Basketball Camp. The three day camp was held at The Rock School where over 80 kids got to spend some quality time with Brewer, participating in drills and perfecting their game.
The two-time NCAA National Champion said this camp is something he holds close to his heart, not only because he is able to give back to the community that gave him so much, but all proceeds from the camp will go to Shands HealthCare's "Corey Brewer Fight Diabetes Fund". Both of Brewer's parents suffer from diabetes, so it is something that hits close to home. All money raised goes to Shands and offers funds for diabetes education and patient programs.
