Gator Football Roundup: The DR Express, Burton Hobbled, D for Decent, Sharrif Sits
Published September 5th, 2011
The Florida Gator football team picked up its first win of the season on Saturday, 41-3 winners over FAU. Running backs Jeff Demps and Chris Rainey dominated out of the backfield. Meanwhile, F back Trey Burton was hobbled early in the first quarter, contributing one catch for 11 yards. The Florida defense was stout, but head coach Will Muschamp said multiple times it was just "decent". And starting defensive end Sharrif Floyd was missing from the defense, sitting out because the University declared him ineligible until the NCAA reinstates him.
