The University of Florida and its football program honored those who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001 when players who have or had family in the military carried an american flag when running out of the tunnel before kickoff of the eventual 39-0 shutout victory over UAB. The Gators tallied 300 yards on the ground, and produced their second consecutive rusher to pass the 100 yard mark as Chris Rainey gained 116 in the win. Jeff Demps achieved the feat in last week's victory over Florida Atlantic.
