MaryEllen Pole is the lone senior on the Vanguard Lady Knights volleyball team, but the four-year setter is welcoming the challenge to lead the young group back to the state playoffs. No longer in the shadow of her sister, former Jeffrey Meldon TV20 Scholar Athlete and Gators defensive specialist Holly Pole, MaryEllen is wearing her emotion on her sleeve to pump up the crowd, her teammates, and Vanguard to victory. MaryEllen plans to graduate from Vanguard's IB program, currently holding a 4.75 weighted GPA, and will weigh her options on whether to play volleyball at the next level.
